Orange Open Air – Priscilla Queen of the Desert

Orange Open Air is coming to Philip Shaw Wines with a screening of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Friday 26th February, 6.30pm.

Tickets on sale now for a special screening, hosted by drag superstar Betty Confetti.

Your $65 ticket includes dinner, live entertainment including a DJ spinning your favourite Mardi Gras anthems, a performance by Betty Confetti and of course, a screening under the stars of this iconic Australian film starring Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce and Terence Stamp.

Wines available for sale by glass and bottle. Food is included as part of ticket. Please come prepared with your own picnic blanket or seating.

Join us at the Cellar Door as we welcome Joel Bickford, executive chef of Aria Sydney for a four-course menu celebrating 30 years of Orange F.O.O.D Week, perfectly paired with Philip Shaw Wines.

 

Growing up on a property on the outskirts of a rural Blue Mountains town, Joel’s less-is-more approach to cooking is rooted in a lifelong connection to nature and a deep reverence for his ingredients and their unique regional qualities.

From the farm to the kitchen, Joel believes that Australia’s ingredients, its artisan producers and the culinary community are among the world’s best and feels blessed to be able showcase the quality, diversity and talent of the Australian food industry at Aria.

Winemaker Daniel Shaw presents a masterclass exploring the harvest of vintages current and past.

Discover cool climate wines of elegance, intimate insights into our terroir and what makes our wine region unique – with a selection of rare, museum and current vintage wines.

A perfectly paired menu by our in-house chef and sourced from our local Orange region producers will accompany the wines.

Price:$150 per person.

We are Covid-Safe

We are committed to maintaining safe, social-distancing and require all guests to adhere to our conditions of entry.

Bookings are required to manage our capacity restrictions at the Cellar Door.

Maximum group booking size is 10 people.

All guests are required to sign our visitor register. Hand-sanitiser is provided.

We prefer contactless payment via EFT. Please do not visit our premises if you are feeling unwell, have flu like symptoms, should be isolating due to known cluster exposure or are awaiting a test. Or if you have recently visited a COVID-19 ‘hotspot’.

Please note – you need to book a place for all people in your group so we can manage our capacity restrictions. Saturdays are the most popular day and book out quickly – so please plan ahead and consider other days to visit us. You can see available times and book online.

The Koomooloo Taste & Plate is $20 per person and features a selection of our Number Series wines with an individual grazing plate of local cheese and accompaniments. You will not be charged at the time of making your booking – please book for the number of people in your group. Please note: we are not allowed to take book a group size of more than 10 people.

We do not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner at the Cellar Door, Wine Tasting and sales are available.

Children are welcome, please include your children in your booking number (we do not charge a tasting fee for your children, we only ask you to include them to manage our capacity correctly).
