The Architect Chardonnay

Our Architect comes from our younger vines planted in 1995, this chardonnay displays an excellent medium colour with a hint of green and an aroma that is bright with hints of honey.  The Architect is not overly fruit and its time on lees and in old barrels for 6 months has given a subtle elegant fruit character with fine texture.  A vibrant wine with excellent minerality and youth.

Winemaking Notes

• Battonage of lees to build mouthfeel and complexity
• Partial natural malolactic fermentation
• Maturation on lees

Winemakers Tasting Notes
The Architect is pale straw yellow with a slight green tinge. The nose is complex and alluring with honeyed fruit, vibrant citrus and a touch of toast.
It has a fresh palate with layers of stone fruit, savoury characteristics and creamy nuances. Bright citrus acidity gives the wine clarity and drive.
