No.11 Chardonnay 2011
No.11 displays a light, bright straw colour with
a green hue which is a sign of youth. The aroma is very youthful with
citrus and white peach characters and some subtle oak. The crisp
flavours from the full of vibrant varietal characters, give way to a
wine with great mid-palate softness. The integrated oak adds texture to
deliver a fineness that is long and clean. Drink to 2018.

No. 17 Merlot Cabernet Franc Cabernet 2009
No. 17 2009 is 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc
and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The mature vines are giving low yield,
balanced crops of fruit with intense flavours. The components for this
wine were made separately and blended after being in barrel for 24
months. This wine has a deep brick red colour and from the first sniff,
the aroma of lifted red fruit characters jumps out of the glass. The

No. 5 Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
No. 5 is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with 5%
Merlot . This high quality wine highlights the impressive relationship
between these varieties and the Orange region. Our Cab Sauv displays
intense bright reds with a small purple hue. The aroma shows bright
varietal black berry fruit characters with subtle cigar box oak. The
intensity of the Cabernet Sauvignon’s fruit dominates at this stage and
provides ongoing flavours. Providing the wine is well cellared, it will
further develop, intensify and gain complexity over an extremely long
period - up to 50 years.

No. 89 Shiraz 2009
The fruit used for No.89 is from the 20 year old
vines that exhibit powerful spices and peppery flavours – a
representation of a classic cool area Shiraz. The oak adds complexity,
but the intense fruit restrains and helps harmonise. The flavours are
vibrant and follow the aroma of spicy fruit characters. There is 1%
Viognier co-fermented in this wine and it contributes a very subtle
softening of the cool climate spice. Soft fine tannins combine with
great length of flavour to give a wine of youth that will repay
cellaring.

The Architect Chardonnay 2011
Fruit for The Architect comes from our younger
vines planted in 1995. This Chardonnay displays an excellent light
medium colour with a hint of green and an aroma that is bright with
hints of honey. The Architect is not overtly fruity and its time on lees
and in old barrels for around 6 months has given a subtle elegant fruit
character with fine texture.

but it is showing excellent promise in this cool, mountainous,
continental climate. 2010 Wire Walker displays a seductive light bright
crimson colour, combined with the aroma having a great lift of bright
fruit followed by a matrix of complex layering. This wine has great

The Idiot Shiraz 2011
Shiraz from Orange is quite unique in style
compared to most other regions in Australia and is more reminiscent of
the Northern Rhone, France. Our Idiot Shiraz is a young wine that has a
lovely colour – deep red with some purple hues. The aroma is spicy,
lifted and intense. There is an appealing liquorice character to the
intense fruit aromas. Bright full fruit flavours in a medium-bodied
package; classic cool area shiraz – some spice integrated with red
fruits; lovely soft tannins and finish.
